Lolita
is an adorable smooth-coat Chihuahua. She has a great
personality and a very curious nature. Though at first she may seem
small, Lolita has a very big and devoted heart. She defies common
stereotypes which suggest that Chihuahuas are high-strung by being very
collected and good-natured. Her temperament is also very controlled, but
a strong character and a backbone allow her to be fearless when
confronting bigger dogs, and sometimes when playing with them even she
forgets her size and acts as though she’s one of them. Lolita’s small
size, large and sweet eyes, and big, almost bat-like ears give her a
very cute and charismatic demeanor. And her caramel sports add a sweet
touch to her almost perfect look. Lolita was needle felted in a lying,
almost playful pose. Her wired base was molded from carded wool, and her
illustrious coat was created from white mohair and baby camel hair for
the spots. Her whiskers were handmade and picked from select goat and
yak hairs. All of Lolita’s features including her eyes, nose and claws
were hand-formed completely out of carded and Merino wool. This
sculpture of Lolita
measures to be 3˝ x 7 x 6 inches (9 x 18 x 15 cm).
Lolita was a winner of 2012 TOBY Industry's Choice Award in the category Small Artist “Friends" by Teddy Bear & Friends Magazine.
